At first glance, depth of anaesthesia is not necessarily associated with sleep medicine. For us, with over 25 years of experience in sleep medicine, the connection quickly became clear: EEG-based anaesthetic depth determination for optimal dosing of anaesthesia and continuous monitoring of the patient. With our NARCOguide®, we have developed a portable depth of anaesthesia monitor based on the SOMNO HD with just a few modifications. The cardio version also records ECG, oxygen saturation and heart rate and can therefore continuously and non-invasively determine and display blood pressure. The result is an individually tailored dosage that is continuously monitored, including various vital parameters, and can therefore be adjusted or optimized at any time.

A particularly comprehensive and portable solution for monitoring the depth of anaesthesia. The NARCOguide® Monitor is a medical device that uses electroencephalography (EEG) to determine the depth of anaesthesia in adult patients under general anaesthesia. This enables anaesthetists to optimize the dosage of anaesthetics and ensure that patients receive the appropriate level of sedation, minimizing the risk of over- or under-anesthesia. In the basic version, the NARCOguide® provides all the parameters necessary to determine the depth of anaesthesia based on EEG.NARCOguide® Index (DOA Index) and Burst Suppression Ratio (BSR) are calculated live from the EEG signal and displayed on the HD display. Automatic impedance measurement and integrated artifact detection ensure the exclusion of possible interferences such as electrocautery.EEG recording is done via a latex-free 3-channel forehead electrode.
