Polygraphy - ambulatory sleep apnea screening
The polygraph examination essentially involves recording the following vital parameters: Respiratory flow, snoring, CPAP pressure, respiratory effort (thoracic & abdominal), oxygen saturation, heart rate and body position and is reimbursed according to EBM30900. In short, polygraphy is used to detect respiratory events during nocturnal measurements with the aim of determining a suitable form of therapy for the patient, such as CPAP or mandibular advancement splint. The main focus here is on the AHI (apnea-hypopnea index). In addition to the option of modular expansion of the basic configuration, our devices have an integrated actigraphy sensor for estimating sleep/wake as well as a patient marker and light sensor for precise determination of the TIB (time in bed).
